"Had plenty of room for front steel 10x12 plate and rear will accommodate an even larger size. 10x12 fits well intge rear too and covers appropriate area. I did not need to focus on plate placement for it to seat and cover appropriate area. Hook and loop (Velcro) is heavy duty. AR mags fit well in front pouches and ak-74 mags (5.45 NOT 7.62) are a little tight. Not sure how 7.62 mags would fit since they have more of a curve. No complaints with Imhotep vest… well, except for weight. I didn’t expect this vest to defy gravity though. For me, this was a perfect buy."
