"Had to struggle to fit My Ear guards, & eye case in the side compartment, after moving the loader and tool I carry I was finally able to zipper up the compartment. In the other compartment I was able to fit my Full size 9 mm w/2 clips and 150 rounds of ammo + a 38 Special. As you can see it fits but it is tight. To soon to say how it will hold up but it appears to be well made. I am worried about the zippers because they don't seem to be very good quality but I'll update this review after I have used it for a couple months

What are the 2 plastic clips for that came in a bag stapled to an info sheet?
- They are clasps or locks that you can use to secure the zippers. At the end of each zipper is a drawstring loop -- this C-clamp/lock secures them. It is not lockable, but serves as a safety device. You push the small button on top of the clamp and it closes or attaches the little arm.

Can the pistol(s) be securely locked separately from the ammo or are they commingled?
- You can secure your pistol with velcro straps in the main compartment. There are two other compartments inside that can hold ammo separately away from the pistol. There is also an outside compartment that can hold ammo and clips.
Any recommendations on how to better fit ruger mkiv 22lr magazines into the holders? they're skinny and are loose in the fabric slots.
- One possibility is to wrap some soft Velcro material around the mag to give you a little girth while still keeping the actual slots original.
