How thick a log can it actually cut?

Branches and logs up to around 6 inches go quickly solo. Thicker trunks are doable with a partner pulling the other handle. It's muscle-powered, so bigger cuts are a workout — but plenty of buyers report cutting 9-inch-plus logs.

Does it jam?

Any hand chain can bind if the teeth aren't facing into the wood or you pull too hard on a short stroke. Keep the toothed side against the wood, arms wide, long relaxed strokes — do that and it glides right through.

Is the cord really usable paracord?

Yes. The handles are braided from genuine military-grade parachute cord. Untie a handle and you've got a long length of strong cord for shelter, repairs, or emergencies.
